Contra: Lock 'n Loaded 2 [OpenBoR Contra-2] is a fantastic new addition to the world of OpenBoR games, created by BloodBane—an important figure in the community. This time, the game moves away from the classic beat 'em up and immerses us in the atmosphere of shooters through an excellent remake. This is a fan version of everyone's favorite legendary Contra, known from arcade machines and home consoles by SEGA and Nintendo. This 2D shooter has been ported to the OpenBoR engine with a new story and three parts of the adventure.
The gameplay in Contra Lock 'n Loaded 2 is divided into three missions:
Mission 1: Robots vs. Aliens
Mission 2: Clone Soldiers
Mission 3: Contrastrike
In addition, there are two extra missions and Boss Rush. Although the basic structure and gameplay are similar to the previous version, alternative routes, new bosses, and a new story have been added. This version is intended for the OpenBoR engine version Build 3789 and may be incompatible with some other engine versions.
